Implementation

Planning Becomes Action

After answering the where, when and why questions during the assessment, it’s time to start making real changes. A pilot area or process is chosen, a team is formed and you’re on your way to boosting that bottom line.

The Impact team doesn’t just write reports, we show up at your site with sleeves rolled up and ready to help get it done. The implementation process is guided by our consultants, in partnership with your team, and typically follows steps like these:

  • Prepare needed materials and educational program
  • Educate implementation team
  • Design implementation process
  • Begin on-site operational changes
  • Implement lean initiative controls such as kanbans
  • Introduce structured problem solving tools such as PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act)
  • Evaluate results and determine actual savings

Often, the savings from a pilot implementation are enough to fully fund implementing lean initiatives and PDCA through the entire organization. The lean attack is now engaged!
